how to avoid duplicate listing????

Hi all,
I encounter a problem like this,

i have to match 2 files, where 1 file contain only one field but the other file contains many match listing.

file1 file2
------ ------
151000 151000
151000
151000
151000
151000
151000
151000
151000
151000
151000
151000.......

so how to match these two files (MFD's) with out duplicate values.

Do a join instead of a match. Then do a sum on the column in file 1.

Or do a SUM COL1 NOPRINT BY COL1 on the file with multiple entries before you do the match.
