Report Painter is used to develop the fex file.
Resource Layout Painter is used to develop the HTML page if the fex file expects any inputs from the user.
If a report is being developed using a Resource Layout Painter, it produces a fex file and a HTML file.
The fex file can be created using the Report Painter and the HTML file can be created using the Resource Layout Painter.

Hi Kalyan,

I guess so. I have never heard of the term HTML painter.
I am using 5.3.3 version. Which version are you working on?
Looks like they both are the same.

Regards,
Latha Gunashekaran.
