WEbFocus provides OLAP usage with any kind of data, FIX,FOC,SQLDS.
Is there some limitation in ALLOCATING data type?
Is the allocation can be OUTSIDE the master
like DYNAM alloc ?

WebFocus thru Dev Studio version 7.6.11
Dev Studio on Windows Xp, Webfocus Client on UNIX basing on TOMCAT and DB2,
Reporting Server on MVS , USS and on UNIX

Philippe,

I'm not exactly sure what you mean with
quote:
ALLOCATING data type

Since you also mention DYNAM ALLOC, I think you refer to instructing the server which data file to use. If I'm correct, then yes, that allocation can be outside of the master file, but will then have to reside either in the edasprof file or within the block of code that is OLAP enablde, so after the -OLAP ON instruction.

I tried your solution.
I put our equivalent Dynam Alloc procedure AFTER the -OLAP ON.
I get back a FOC1109 return Code not on the first execution but when I want exploring the dimension.
I hope I'm enought right speaking.
If I use the DATASET field in the master that works fine.
