When we setup new users in MRE, we would like to assign them to a default BI Dashboard.
The way BI Dashboard works in 5.3 is that the User is not displayed on the [Manage Users] page in the BI Dashboard ViewBuilder until they have logged into the BI Dashboard environment for a first time.
I would like to assign them to a default BI Dashboard that they would then see on their first login. Since we are using LDAP authentication, we can't login to the BI Dashboard for them in order for their ID to show up.
I tried creating a folder for the User in the <drive>:\ibi\WebFOCUS53\worp\worp_users folder and copying a personal.xml file into it from another user, then adding a line for that user in the mpv.xml file located in the <drive>:\ibi\WebFOCUS53\worp\conf folder.
This did not cause the User's id to appear in the [Manage Users] page (I refreshed the page and logged out just to see if it woulde refresh).
Maybe there's a simpler way to accomplish this and I'm not seeing it. Anybody ever done this before, or have any ideas?

If you make manual changes to the worp_user directory and the mpv.xml file (as described in the beginning of this thread) you must reload the servlet for the changes to take effect. So you wouldn't see the users listed in the Manage Users page until you reload the servlet.

That makes sense. You probably don't want to do that during the day, because you'd knock off any running reports. I guess the short answer is; "You can get there from here, but you don't necessarily want to take that route."
