Can anyone provide the sysntax to remove corrupt records for our "field.foc" table

We would like to remove as an example, all records from the FIELD.FOC table with date GT 12/31/2009

The best way would be to use MODIFY.

Are you realy on PC Focus 6 Confused, Wow.

If you post the master, the code could be created.

An example would be, assuming the date is the key:

TABLE FILE FIELD
PRINT DATE
WHERE DATE GT '2009/12/31'
ON TABLE HOLD AS TMP_DATE
END
MODIFY FILE FIELD
FIXFORM FROM TMP_DATE
MATCH DATE
ON MATCH DELETE
ON NOMATCH REJECT
DATA ON TMP_DATES
END


If the deletion is large, you may have to rebuild the Focus file with the REBUILD command

REBUILD can do this. Just tell REBUILD the records to keep. Make sure you take a backup before running.
