We are creating Active Reports with drills on three different columns ( Store/Cleared $/Outstanding $).
A user wants to export the report to Excel (XML) by clicking the arrow in a column heading, but the drill-down fields showed
 <a href= ...
in Excel.

The Store field is P4 while the dollar fields are D12.2. I changed Store to A3 and got the desired results, but the dollar amounts are still a problem.

I've searched the Forum with no hits on this type of situation. Does anyone have a suggestion for the two dollar amounts or is this just a limitation with AHTML exporting to Excel?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chuck

Chuck,
This may be a release thing.
I tried something like you described in 769 without any problem at all.
Code I used:
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT CAR MODEL SEATS DCOST/D12.2M RCOST/D12.2M
BY COUNTRY
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT AHTML
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=SEATS, FOCEXEC=TEST(X='SEATS'), $
TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=DEALER_COST, FOCEXEC=TEST(X='DEALER_COST'), $
TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=RETAIL_COST, FOCEXEC=TEST(X='RETAIL_COST'), $
ENDSTYLE
END

The drilldown procedure does not have to exist for the drilldown link to show up.
In 769 the export to Excel just shows the field values.

Hope this helps ...

GamP,

Thanks for the response.

I'll try your car test and let you know if it is a release issue.

GamP,

It does appear to be a version issue as you suggested. Your code still gives undesired results on our versions.

We are looking at possible work-arounds.

Thanks for the tip.
