PIVOT TABLE and FORMULA in the same EXL2K report

Hi, we need to generate an EXL2K report using at the same time PIVOT TABLE and FORMULA. I know how to create 2 sheets in the same document, one with PIVOT TABLE data and the other with FORMULA data. I need to have the data in the same sheet.

We want to choose some options using PIVOT TABLE and generate new data using the formula part.

Any ideas?

Thanks

From my experience, I concluded EXL2K FORMULA was not ready for prime-time in WF 5.3.2 - 5.3.3...

It doesn't work very well with percentages, does not work in FRL reports, so it probably won't work for PIVOT TABLE.

I've always believed that FORMULA and PIVOT were 2 different outut types. I don't have 5.3 to work with anymore, but in the 7.1.6 documentation you can generate PIVOT and FORMULA using compound

See if this will help

SET PAGE-NUM=OFF
TABLE FILE CAR
HEADING
"Sales Report"
" "
PRINT
RCOST
BY COUNTRY
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
type=report, titletext='Sales Rpt', $
type=heading, size=18, $
ENDSTYLE
ON TABLE HOLD AS PIV1 FORMAT EXL2K OPEN
END
TABLE FILE CAR
HEADING
"Inventory Report"
" "
PRINT SALES
BY COUNTRY
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
type=report, titletext='Inv. Rpt', $
type=heading, size=18, $
ENDSTYLE
ON TABLE HOLD AS PPPP FORMAT EXL2K PIVOT
PAGEFIELDS TYPE SEATS
CACHEFIELDS MODEL MPG RPM
END
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM RCOST

BY CAR
BY MODEL
BY TYPE
BY SEATS
SUMMARIZE
ON MODEL SUB-TOTAL
ON TABLE HOLD AS XFOCB FORMAT EXL2K FORMULA
END
TABLE FILE CAR

PRINT DCOST

ON TABLE SET STYLE *
type=report, titletext='Cost Rpt', $
type=heading, size=18, $
ENDSTYLE
ON TABLE PCHOLD AS ONE FORMAT EXL2K CLOSE PIVOT
PAGEFIELDS RCOST
CACHEFIELDS MODEL TYPE SALES ACCEL SEATS
END
