I have created an OVER report in HTML and PDF and, thus, must use a SUBHEAD instead of column headings. Is there a way to put in column separators in my subhead so that the look is consistent with my other reports that do not use OVER and have column titles (and therefore have column separators between the column headings) ?

I probably wasn't clear on my request. I am able to get the column headings to line up with my data columns in the subhead by using spotmarkers. However, I cannot get the dark (vertical) lines that appear when using a style sheet to separate the column headings. These appear normally when using column headings but don't appear when using subhead. Is there any way to have the dark (vertical) lines appear within a subhead to separate the column headings?

Mark if you do not post any example when your talking about something so specific then
no one stands a snowball in hells chance of helping.

Post an example preferabley against the car file and we might be able to offer something.

As far as I know, SUBHEAD and SUBFOOT only support outer borders (not inner vertical borders as you want). It *may* be possible to accomplish what you need by using external CSS classes but this would only work in HTML.

sorry about that....I don't mean to tick everybody off....

Here is some code. The vertical column separators are missing in the subhead. Also, don't know how or why the underlines are showing up in the last two columns of data...any ideas on how to get rid of those??

Mark,

You can always delete postings that you have entered by clicking the edit icon and then click the delete message link.

As for the alignment of column headings then you need to understand what JG posted above.

He (and I) had ON TABLE SUBHEAD for which the stylesheet TYPE is TABHEADING.
You use ON COUNTRY SUBHEAD for which the stylesheet TYPE is SUBHEAD.

So the "magic" code that JG posted using the POSITION keyword should be used in your test according to what you have learnt from the above statements.

Oh, and no underlines show for me.
