We want to place a company logo in the upper left of the page heading of a report, and keep it from overlaying the heading's textual content.

We want to make a single TABLE request, with &WFFMT specifying the output format, do the trick for HTML, AHTML, Excel (XLSX) and PDF.

And we want the code to be GUI compatible -- meaning that it can created in the GUI tool, or at least can be opened and maintained in the GUI procedure editor without danger that the tool will mangle the result.

Can it be done?

I'd put the logo in the stylesheet.

TYPE=REPORT,
IMAGE=IBFS:/WFC/Repository/test/logo.jpg,
SIZE=(2.500000 0.680556),
POSITION=(0.000 0.0000),
$

The following does not work for HTML, PDF or Execl. For HTML, the image is obscured by the report. For PDF and Excel, the image cannot be found.

WF v8 has a Repository. When using the GUI to build a report, the tool allows you to reference an image within the Repository, but as we all know, the image must be in a reporting server app folder. So, the GUI allows you to build a non-working report.

GUI-built example:

TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
     CAR.BODY.SALES
     CAR.SPECS.LENGTH
     CAR.SPECS.WIDTH
     CAR.SPECS.HEIGHT
     CAR.SPECS.WEIGHT
BY  LOWEST CAR.ORIGIN.COUNTRY
BY  LOWEST CAR.COMP.CAR
BY  LOWEST CAR.CARREC.MODEL
BY  LOWEST CAR.BODY.BODYTYPE
ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM NOLEAD
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
     INCLUDE = IBFS:/EDA/EDASERVE/_EDAHOME/ETC/endeflt.sty,
$
TYPE=REPORT,
     IMAGE=IBFS:/WFC/Repository/Test/FrancisMariani/ib_logo.gif,
     POSITION=(+0.000000 +0.000000),
$
ENDSTYLE
END
