We have five reporting servers. A user run can run a report against any of the servers. As a consequence when you view the report you cannot tell which server it was run against. Is there an amper variable that can be used in a report footing perhaps that will identify the reporting server?

Add this to your site.wfs file:

<SET> SERVER_NAME = &SERVER_NAME (pass)

THis can be done via the WF Admin Console > Configuration > Custom Settings.

&SERVER_NAME then becomes a DM variable in all fexes.

Here's a few more variables you can add:
Pass the URL of the current WF request in a DM variable

Another option if you do not like the value of &SERVER_NAME is to use IF ELSE Logic and set a variable based on the value of &SERVER_NAME.

Still Another is to add a -SET &&SERVERNAME = 'xxx'; to the edasprof.prf file.

just some more options.

Francis, your solution gets me part way. For the &SERVER_NAME I get the WebFocus server - abc.company.com. What I need it the reporting server that report executed against - which one of the five reporting servers. (I hope I stated that correctly.)

TexasStingray, I haven't tried you solution yet. WIll give it a go.

There is also a varivale called IBIC_server that can be used in site.wfs. It soulds like you are using load balancing in that case the best way might be to set a variable in the edasprof.prf for each server.
