I'm pretty new to FOCUS. I have created a drill down rpt, and gotten it to execute the child and pass the value clicked in the parent.
How do I pass other parameters selected in the parent. It has parms such as year and product line, in addition to the one (area) clicked to start up the child report. I want the child to run based on all parms selected for the parent.
GUI help? Thanks.

Here is some code where I am passing multiple variables...Is this what you mean?

OK, I have my GUI answer. Rt-click the drill-down field & in the lower right add the parms one at a time. Thanks.

I am having a problem with passing values from a listbox. I pass the listbox values(as a multiple/or) to my first drilldown procedure and that works. I then select a drilldown from that procedure and I get and error and it seems to point to the parameter I am trying to pass along. This is the drilldown code
TYPE=DATA,
COLUMN=N1,
STYLE=NORMAL,
DRILLMENUITEM='Customer Detail',
FOCEXEC=custcommoddetailnew.fex(TYSTRTDATE='&TYSTRTDATE' TYENDDATE='&TYENDDATE' LYSTRTDATE='&LYSTRTDATE' LYENDDATE='&LYENDDATE' CustList=N1 ComClassList='&ComClassList'),
TARGET='_self',

The &ComClassList value should be 'Y0' OR 'L6'
but it looks as follows ..LOOKS LIKE the first quote in front of the Y0 is not there and this is the position that I am getting an error on. looks like the formatting is off. This was all done with the GUI

Don't worry, I see what you are saying, and can get a simple repro my end. What I cannot do at present is get a fix. I'll have a play with it and see what comes up.

There MUST be a better way than this!

In the DRILLDOWN use
ComClassList=&ComClassList.QUOTEDSTRING

In the called focexec have:
  

-SET &ComClassList = STRIP(&ComClassList.LENGTH,&ComClassList, '''', 'A&ComClassList.LENGTH');

-SET &ComClassList = '''' | &COMCLASSLIST || '''';

-SET &ComClassList = STRREP(&ComClassList.LENGTH, &ComClassList, 4, ' OR ', 6,''' OR ''',&ComClassList.LENGTH, 'A&ComClassList.LENGTH');

As you come off the listbox, WF kindly(!) quotes everything for you. The .QUOTEDSTRING makes the quoted variable acceptable to the DRILL DOWN, then the receiving focexec has to remove all the extra quotes and add them back as they should be!

This may work for you, but hopefully someone has another solution.
