Boy this takes me back a few years. Yes it is possible to access files in 2 different schemas. Both need to be defined to the Focus/Webfocus job. Your retrieval may be quicker if you create a schema that contains both tables. I can't answer number 3 for you, open a case with IBI, they should be able to help you.

First, you need to update you profile so forum users can see your operating environment. Second, there are technical documents available that cover installation and configuration of all the components. Third, the fact that you would ask such a broad question as your #3 indicates that you could probably use some local technical support. I would get in touch with your local IBI office to get some help.

I've seen this done twice in the past.

These were all for Dev/Test/Prod environments

The first used common Master with Unique ACX files point to the connection.

The second, which we are using here (Oracle). The Master and ACX are the same, the ACX has the specific schema removed, only the table name. We then issue connect a string to "Swap" DB's / Schema's.

Waz...

waz,

Yes you are right. Thats how we are doing using three environments DEV/TEST/PROD. and using ACX Files in the metadata to point to the respective environments . We have created three folders for three environments..
